Ascot Charity Ball 2005...
The Ascot Charity Ball, held at the Royal Berkshire Hotel, Ascot, raised £65,000 for SPARKS (Sports Aiding Medical Research for Kids).
The celebrity-studded charity ball now in its fifth year is organised by the Ascot Charitable Trust. Celebrities this year included Tim Brook-Taylor, Jimmy Hill, Gabby Logan and England Rugby Captain and SPARKS 2005 President Martin Johnson CBE. Cabaret was provided by Steve Womack and compère for the evening was Peter Marshall.
The evening included a champagne reception, gala dinner, fabulous live entertainment, and a grand auction including romantic holiday destinations and memorabilia from sporting legends, a silent auction, tombola and finally dancing to Taste of Honey – the Bee Gees tribute band.
