Ascot Charity Ball 2009...

The Ascot Charitable Trust hosted a fantastic evening at Trunkwell Mansion House on Saturday, 6th June, in support of Barnardo’s, Ascot District Day Centre, Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs, Daisy’s Dream and Helen & Douglas House, for whom much needed funds were raised.
There was a superb party atmosphere, which was also enjoyed by celebrity guests, such as Paul Young and his wife Stacey, Nina Wadia and Marc Elliott from Eastenders and Tony Jardine to name but a few. Adger Brown provided great entertainment and Peter Marshall did a superb job as compère. Max Jelfs from Penguins was a brilliant DJ and had everyone on their feet dancing.
ACT ran both a Main and a Silent Auction. There was also a Prize Draw with over two hundred prizes.
Quotes have been received from some of the guests:
The owners of Ciao 90, Rae & Lisalynn Bowdery, say: ‘It was a great venue, lots of fun for fantastic causes.’
Ian Mullins, Director of Education at Licensed Victuallers’ School in Ascot said: ‘Children’s charities are always close to my heart, so it was good to have a fantastic evening whilst supporting such great causes.’
Marcia Goodwin says: ‘It was an amazing evening, great entertainment, lovely atmosphere, can’t wait for next year.’
David Wilson said: ‘Haven’t been on dodgems for years and it was great fun, an outstanding event not to be missed!’
ACT would like to thank their Patrons, Paul & Pauline Attwell and Rae & Lisalynn Bowdery for their invaluable support and help in arranging this ball.
Additionally, our sincerest thanks go to all local businesses and organisations further afield, who very kindly donated amazing prizes.
