On the community front Alan is an Honorary Vice President of Ascot United Football Club, a member of the Thames Hospicecare Presidents Club and was a past governor at both Swinley Junior and Heathermount Autistic Schools.

Challenges include running the London Marathon for the MS Society, trekking and climbing in Patagonia, refurbishing a school house in Brazil and participating in a static row half marathon, all for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research.

Nicholet Pardo
Born in Trinidad, West Indies, Nicky was educated in Ecuador, England and Switzerland.

Fluent in both Spanish and French, she has taught both nationally and internationally and is a qualified TEFL teacher, as well as an experienced translator.

She has a wide ranging background in industry and commerce, having worked for companies such as Lummus, Marubeni-Iida, Murco and 3M. It was here that she gained experience in liaising with companies and contacts worldwide, coordinating events, company seminars and representing major exhibitions.

Nicky is married to Jose and has two children, Richard and Janine.

She has been involved with the Ascot Charity Ball since its inception in 2001.

Anne Hoddle
Born in Yorkshire, Anne moved to the South at the age of four. She graduated from the Froebel Institute in Roehampton with a B.Ed degree in the First Year of Schooling and French. Then she proceeded to teach in a local infant school in Harlow, Essex, before putting her French to good use whilst living in Monaco for a number of years. Her return to England seventeen years ago saw her settle in the Ascot area.

Anne has always enjoyed being a mum and continues to do so to her three “big” children, Zoë, Zara and Jamie. She also teaches French to nursery children and runs a small gift party business.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing netball and tennis, as well as watching her son’s cricket matches and acting as ‘roadie’ to her son’s rock band.

Sayonara Luxton
Sayonara was born in Goa. She left Goa and went to work in Dubai, where her family was living and worked there for twelve years for a PR company, organising Pop concerts, PGA Tournaments and other international sporting events, including large company conferences.

When she worked for Airbus Industrie, she met her husband, got married, left Dubai and came to England. She has lived in England now for fifteen years and has four lovely daughters, Charlotte, Bianca, Abigail and Zara.

Sayonara likes organising events and being involved in charity work and hence she became involved in the "The Ascot Charitable Trust". Now, year after year she looks forward to this event, which she enjoys tremendously.

Danny Mehta
Danny has lived in the local area most of his life. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1978 and started his own accountancy practice in 1982. He now also builds the occasional property.

He has six children who have benefited greatly from growing up in the local area and therefore he takes great pleasure in giving something back in any way that he can.

He enjoys many sporting activities mainly golf and tennis and has a passion for fast cars.

When he was asked to become a trustee of the Ascot Charitable Trust he was happy to give his time to its cause and he looks forward to his future involvement.

He then became a Senior Director overseeing operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He has been with Ascot Racecourse as a Board Director for 5 years, during which time he and his team have worked extensively on the redevelopment of the racecourse. In 2005 they took the Royal meeting to York.

Ronnie is a staunch royalist, who is also a Board Director of the Born Free Foundation and Born Free USA. Locally, he is president of St John Ambulance, Ascot and Berkshire and the Royal Ascot Cricket club.
